Britta Clausnitzer

Painter and performance artist Britta Clausnitzer was born in July 1964 in Berli n. From 1983 to 1990, the artist attended the “Berlin Hochschule der Künste” in the classes of Andrzej Woron and F. W. Bernstein where she worked as nominated teacher from 1990 to 1997. From 1985 to 1986 she attended the “Ecole des Beaux Arts” in Paris where she studied under Vladimir Veličkovič. The painter’s first single exhibition was held in 1988 in Beriin; since then Clausnitzer has prepared 18 single exhibitions held mostly in Berlin. She has exhibited at numerous group exhibitions organised in Germany and abroad. Britta Clausnitzer has received a number of awards and was granted a scholarship by the Antonio Ratti Foundation in Como, Italy. In 1998 she attended the “Djerassi Resident Artists Program” in California; USA.

She lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
