Karl Vouk

Painter and architect Karl Vouk was born in 1958 in Klagenfurt, Austria. He studied architecture at the Vienna university of Technology and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna where he graduated under Gustav Peichel. In 1976 Vouk exhibited at his first group exhibition held in Klagenfurt, and has since then exhibited at a number of group exhibitions organised mostly in Austria and Slovenia where he has held more than 35 single exhibitions since 1983. Vouk attended symposiums and art workshops organised in Brdo pri Kranju, Izlake, Zagorje, Szentgotthárd, etc. His works are found in private and public collections and are presented in places open for public admittance. He received numerous awards for his work in the field of art. Vouk creates paintings, designs metal constructions set up in public areas, and works as an architect. He lives in Rinkole near Bleiburg, Austria.
